Physical Disk (NT_PHYSICAL_DISKS)
Monitors and provides information about disk resources. A physical disk is a hard or fixed disk drive that contains one or more partitions.
Note
The Physical Disk monitor type in BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management is referred as the NT_PHYSICAL_DISKS class in BMC PATROL.
InfoBox
The following information is displayed on the NT_PHYSICAL_DISKS InfoBox:
Item | Description |
Icon type | the type of icon selected (computer, application, container, parameter) |
State | the current state of the object |
Application class | name of the application class |
Default user name | the default PATROL user name, if any |
Worst parameter | the name of the application parameter that is having the most problems, if any |
History retention | the length of time history is retained |
NT KM version | the version of the PATROL KM for Windows OS currently in use |
Attributes (parameters)
The following attributes are available for this monitor type:
- Average Disk Sec Per Read (PDpdAvgDiskSecPerRead)
- Average Disk Sec Per Transfer (PDpdAvgDiskSecPerTransfer)
- Average Disk Sec Per Write (PDpdAvgDiskSecPerWrite)
- The rate bytes are transferred to or from the disk (PDpdDiskBytesPerSec)
- Disk Queue Length (PDpdDiskQueueLength)
- Busy Disk Time (PDpdDiskTimePercent)
