Monitor types and attributes

PATROL for Microsoft Windows Servers provides a list of monitor types (application classes) that are segregated based on the components, as follows:

The PATROL KM for Microsoft Windows OS monitors the availability of your servers. It monitors the memory file pages, the FTP server activities, rates that TCP/IP datagrams are received and sent by a selected computer using the IP protocol, monitors the controlled job objects defined to a Windows system, provides information about file system resources, monitors the network interface and the rates that bytes and packets are received and sent over a network TCP/IP connection, monitors specific jobs in a printer's queue, monitors all the virtual processors of the partition, and so on. Use the following application classes to monitor the Microsoft Windows Operating System:

The PATROL KM for Microsoft Cluster Server monitors your Cluster Servers locally and remotely. It monitors the network and network interface status of the cluster, cluster role and failover status, resource status, disk utilized by the resources, and availability of the shares. Use the following application classes to monitor the Microsoft Cluster Servers:

The PATROL Knowledge Module for Microsoft Windows Active Directory lets you monitor and analyze your Microsoft Windows Active Directory environments. It monitors the performance of address book activity on the Active Directory Server, verifies Kerberos, machine, and NTLM authentication protocols for the Active Directory, monitors the health of the Distributed File System Replication (DFSR), monitors name resolution services used by Active Directory, and so on. Use the following application classes to monitor the Active Directory:

The PATROL Knowledge Module (KM) for Microsoft Windows Active Directory Remote Monitoring product provides remote enterprise monitoring of Active Directory objects.
