Key concepts

PATROL for Apache Kafka enables you to monitor the performance metrics of the configured Kafka host. The KM monitors the availability and performance of the Producers, Brokers, Zookeepers, and Consumers. The KM provides monitoring support at two levels:

Infrastructure Availability

In this approach, the KM checks the Availability status of your Zookeeper and all the Brokers below the discovered Zookeeper. For information about how to configure the KM, see Configuring after installation.

Static topic monitoring

In this approach, the KM collects and monitor the Producer, Consumer metrics and also checks the availability of the Zookeeper, Broker, and the Producer. For information about how to configure the KM, see Configuring after installation.
