Temporarily deactivating BMC Remedy Encryption Security
If you activated BMC Remedy Encryption Security on the BMC Remedy Action Request (AR) System server, you must deactivate it before you install a product. Installing a product on an encrypted BMC Remedy AR System server is not supported.

To deactivate BMC Remedy Encryption Security
- Log on to the BMC Remedy AR System server.
- Open the AR System Administration Console.
- Choose System > General > Server Information.
- From the Server Information form, click the Encryption tab.
- In the New Encryption Settings area, choose Disabled in the Security Policy list, and click Apply.
- Restart the BMC Remedy AR System server.
- Run the application installer.
To reactivate BMC Remedy Encryption Security after installing the application
- Log on to the BMC Remedy AR System server.
- Open the AR System Administration Console.
- Choose System > General > Server Information.
- From the Server Information form, click the Encryption tab.
- In the New Encryption Settings area, choose Optional or Required in the Security Policy list, and click Apply.
- Restart the BMC Remedy AR System server.
