Troubleshooting issues with deployment packages
Deployment packages are used for deploying patch and hotfix for Mid Tier, AR System server, and BMC CMDB version 9.1.04.002 and later.
A deployment package may contain the following three types of files:
- Data files: The .arx files in the packages contain data.
- Packing list: Packing list contains AR System objects such as forms and workflows.
- Deployment payload: The deployment payload contains operating system specific (Windows and UNIX) application binaries and a common archive of binaries for all operating systems.
