Purging data to be removed

Certain forms contain server-specific data that should not be migrated and must be deleted. In the case of some of these forms, the data is backed up in the previous step and must then be re-imported after the purge.

To purge the data

  1. Select Discovery and Analysis > System Analysis and Administration from the BMC Helix Data Manager menu.
  2. Click the Server References tab, and select the Purge sub-tab.
  3. Click Create New Purge Job. 
     The standard set of purge tables and forms appear.
  4. To delete the data from the listed forms, click Run Purge Job.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
