Transforming data through data enrichments

You can transform data during a data migration. This includes transformations (such as live and historic ticket data) and configuration settings for Product Catalog remapping. To do so, you can apply mapping files to your data enrichments. For some kinds of BMC Helix ITSM upgrades, you might need to supply mapping spreadsheets for data transformation. See Creating-a-data-enrichment-definition.

To apply mapping files to your data enrichments

  1. From the navigation bar, select Data Migration > Data Mapping.
  2. On the Data Mapping page, select the migration pack you copied for your source and target discovered data dictionaries.
  3. Click the Data Enrichment tab, and select the data enrichment from the list.

  4. Click the Mapping Data sub-tab, and click Upload CSV.
    Select the CSV mapping file from your local file system, and click Upload.
  5. Click Refresh to view the updated data.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
