Configuring AR System server and email

Follow the given procedures to configure AR System server and Email engine.

To configure the AR System server

  1. Log on to a browser as an BMC Remedy AR System administrator.
  2. Open the BMC Remedy AR System Administration Console, and select System > General > Server Information.
  3. In the Server Information window, click the Advanced tab and, if it is not already set, set the Default Web Path field to the mid-tier web path URL (for example, http://<midTierServer>:<portNumber>/arsys).

To configure email

Follow the steps in the Configuring-BMC-Remedy-Email-Engine-for-modify-actions section.

Warning

Important

Set the Use Security Key field value to No instead of Yes in step 7 of that section.
