Creating cumulative server statistics


This section describes how to create a flashboard to display Set Entry Calls per second.

Note

If the collection interval that you entered in the AR System Administration: Server Information form is not 60 seconds, enter the interval you chose, into the Per Time Unit per Seconds field in the FB:CumulativeServerStatistics form.

To create a cumulative server statistics variable

  1. In BMC Remedy AR System Navigator, expand serverName > All Objects.
  2. Right-click Flashboard Variables, and select New Flashboard Variable.
  3. In the New Flashboard Variable dialog box, enter FB:CumulativeServerStatistics in the Form field, and click Finish.
  4. In the Qualification field, enter:

    *'Active Ticket' = "YES" AND 'Queue' = "CUMULATIVE"*

    In this example, you enter CUMULATIVE if you chose the Cumulative option in the Server Statistics Server Recording Mode section in the Advanced tab of the AR System Administration: Server Information form. If you chose the Cumulative and Individual Queue option for the recording mode, you can specify any of the queues from the Server Statistics form.

  5. Click the Operation panel, and complete the following steps:
    1. Select Average.
    2. In the Expression field, enter:
      ('Set Entry Calls Count Diff' / 60)

      Note

      Divide by the interval you chose in the FB:CumulativeServerStatistics form.

  6. Click the Data Collection tab, and complete the following steps:
    1. Select Collect Data.
    2. Open the History panel.
    3. Select Minutely, and enter 1 in the Sample data every minute field.
    4. Select the days and times to collect data.
    5. Set the Delete Interval to Delete, enter 12 in the After field, and select Hours from the menu.
  7. In the Properties tab, set the Permissions property.
  8. Select File > Save.
  9. In the New Name field, enter Set Entry Calls per Second, and click OK.

To create a cumulative server statistics flashboard

  1. In BMC Remedy AR System Navigator, expand serverName > All Objects.
  2. Right-click Flashboards, and select New Flashboard.
  3. On the Flashboard panel, enter a Title: Set Entry Calls per Second.
  4. Select a Line, Area, or Stacked Area flashboard type.
  5. From the Display Type list, select History.
  6. Click the Variables panel, and complete the following steps:
    1. Add the Set Entry Calls per Second variable to the list.
    2. Select Enable Variable, and set the Label, Color, and Style as needed.
  7. Click the X Axis tab, and complete the following steps:
    1. Select Show Grid.
    2. Select Show As Time.
    3. From the Time Frame list, select Today.
  8. Click the Y Axis tab, and complete the following steps:
    1. In the Label field, enter Set Entry Calls per Second.
    2. Select Show Grid.
  9. (Optional) Modify other properties (such as font and color details) for the flashboard, edit the properties in the Properties tab.
