Enabling FIPS support for BMC Atrium SSO
BMC Atrium Single Sign-On (SSO) integration is Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS-140) compliant. When you have integrated BMC Atrium SSO with BMC Remedy AR System and you have enabled FIPS-140 mode in BMC Atrium SSO, you must follow the steps provided in this topic for completing the integration successfully.
To provide FIPS support
In a text editor, open the armonitor.cfg file (Windows) or the armonitor.conf file (UNIX).
- Windows: ARSystemServerInstallDir\Conf\armonitor.cfg
- UNIX: /etc/arsystem/serverName/armonitor.conf
Update the following line
D:\Program Files\Java\<Java_Home_Folder>\bin\java" -Xmx512m -classpath
"D:\ARSystem\pluginsvr;D:\ARSystem\pluginsvr\arpluginsvr7604_build
002.jar" com.bmc.arsys.pluginsvr.ARPluginServerMain -x iBMC-66R37BS -i
"D:\ARSystem" -mand add the -Datsso.sdk.in.fips140.mode=true parameter as follows:
D:\Program Files\Java\<Java_Home_Folder>\bin\java"
-Datsso.sdk.in.fips140.mode=true -Xmx512m -classpath
"D:\ARSystem\pluginsvr;D:\ARSystem\pluginsvr\arpluginsvr81_build
002.jar" com.bmc.arsys.pluginsvr.ARPluginServerMain -x iBMC-66R37BS -i
"D:\ARSystem" -m- Save the file and close it.
