Refreshing menus
For all menu types except character menus, you must set a refresh mode:
- On Connect — Retrieves the menu when the user opens the menu after selecting the form. To update the menu, the user must reopen the form.
On Open — Retrieves the menu each time the user opens it. Frequent menu retrieval can slow performance, so select this option only when it is critical that the menu be up-to-date.
Refresh modes affect only a menu's contents, not its definition. The definitions of all menus are updated every time you reconnect to a form.
