View definition components
The View designer in the BMC Helix Innovation Studio contains the following components that you can use while designing a view definition the Digital Service application UI.

Basic components | |
Record Grid | Displays record fields in a tabular format on UI. For more information, see Creating-a-tabular-view-of-record-instances-by-using-a-record-grid. |
Record Editor | Provides the following features:

Action Button | Launches an action in a view. For more information, see Configuring-actions-by-using-an-action-button. |
Button Bar | Launches a block or container to accomodate a collection of action buttons in a single strip or block. |
Container | Defines a region of a view that can include view components or nested container. For more information, see Creating-a-layout-using-Containers. |
Rich Text | Improves the appearance of text, including adding hyperlinks. |
Tab Panel | A tab panel interface component is a container for resources associated with a tab. It is a set of layered pages where only one page is displayed at a time. For more information see, Configuring-a-Tab-Panel-view-component. |
Form fields | |
Fields | Displays the record fields on the UI. You can use the following fields types in the View designer: Attachment, Boolean, Date, Date/Time, Decimal, Dropdown, Floating, Integer, Select group, Text, Text area and Time. |
Approval components | |
Approval console | Provides a visual experience for creating and managing an approval process. Note: The Approval Service is deployed by default with the BMC Helix Innovation Studio. However, the approval components are available in the View designer only when you define the dependency of your application on the Approvals library. |
