Authenticate unregistered users

When you select the Authenticate Unregistered Users option in the AR System Administration: Server Information form, AR System first attempts to find the user in the User form. If the user exists in the User form, AR System attempts authentication through that form.

If the user does not exist in the User form, AR System attempts authentication through the AREA plug-in.

You can get admin group permissions only when the users are in the User form and not when the users are on an external system.

Authenticating unregistered users

  1. Open the AR System Administration: Server Information form, and click the EA tab.
  2. In the External Authentication Server RPC Program Number field, enter 390695.
  3. Select the Authenticate Unregistered Users check box.
  4. Click Apply and OK.
