Customizing the template


You can customize the default email templates to suit your business requirements. You can modify the subject line, add specific instructions to the email body, or include a company logo to fit your needs.

Best practice
Although customizing templates is optional, we recommend that you customize them according to your requirements.

  1. Log on to a browser as an administrator.
  2. Go to the AR System Administration Console and click System > Email > Email Templates.
  3.  Go to the AR System Email Templates form and edit the following HTML attachment files present on the Template Attachment tab in a text file editor:

    • as_email_notification_template.html
    • as_email_notification_template_nc.html

      Do not change the template names or any other field values on the AR System Email Templates form.

    1. In the Configurable Section, add the fields that are required by the approver to take the appropriate action for the approval requests from the application's three-way join form.

      Important

      Make sure that the fields that you are adding have appropriate permissions.

    2.  Save these as template files.

      Best practice
      We recommend that the Encoding value is set to UTF-8 while saving the file.

  4. In the table, right-click the Template attachment row and click Delete to remove the old file.
  5. Right-click the Template attachment row and click Add.
  6. In the Add Attachment window, select the template saved in step 3 and click OK.
  7. Click Save to save the form.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
