Terminating the synchronization job
Before you begin
- Before you proceed to terminate the job, verify the knowledge base synchronization to check whether messages are being added to the log file.
To terminate the synchronization job
- Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio.
- On the Workspace tab, select Knowledge Sync > Records.
- On the Records tab, select Migration Jobs and click Edit data.
- On the Data Editor (Migration Jobs) page, open the record for the running synchronization job that you want to terminate.
- On the Edit Record page, set the JobStatus field to Failed, and then click Save.
- On the Workspace tab, select Knowledge Sync > Processes.
- On the Processes tab, click Manage Processes.
- From the list of processes, select Terminate job, and then click Run.
The following image shows the Terminate job page:
- On the Terminate job page, click Run.
A pop-up displays message that the termination action was received in the back-end.
- Go back to Administration.
- Select Knowledge Management > Knowledge Sync.
- Wait for the status of the running migration job to be changed from Running to Completed with errors.
The synchronization job is now terminated. The system generates logs about the termination process.
