Validating a package

To validate a package

1. Open the AR System Deployment Management Console.
2. Click Administration > Application Configuration.
3. From the Validate Definition list, select Yes.
   

4. From the Stop Processing On list, select one of the following options:

   Option	Description
   Error	Stops if the plugin receives an error during validation stage
   Warning	Stops if the plugin receives a warning during validation stage
   Info	Stops if the plugin receives any information during validation stage

5. Click View Analyzer Rule, and select the rules against which you want to validate the package before you perform the build. For more information on the analyzer rules, see Analyzer-rules.
6. Click Save.

To enable secure deployment of BMC signed packages

All packages offered by BMC are digitally signed. You can secure your deployment by importing a BMC signed package

As an AR System Administrator, use the Deployment Management Configuration form to enable or restrict the deployment of packages containing binary changes.

1. Open AR System Deployment Management console.
2. On the Administration tab, click Application Configuration.
   The Deployment Management Configuration form opens.
3. From the Allow Binary Payload from BMC only field, select Yes to enable the deployment of BMC provided signed packages.
4. Click Save.
