Configuring a data source
As an administrator, you can leverage data outside BMC Helix Innovation Studio. To leverage external data, you must first configure the data source by specifying the connection and authentication details. BMC Helix Innovation Studio supports the following external data source types:
- Action Request System (AR System)
- Web API data source
- Custom data source
The AR System data source type supports the following authentication types:
- BMC Helix Single Sign-On (Remedy SSO)—Remedy SSO should be the same for BMC Helix Innovation Studio and external AR system, and users should be synced in BMC Helix Innovation Studio from external AR system.
- Remedy Application Service Password of external AR System—AR System users should be synced in BMC Helix Innovation Studio.
