Configuring the Ignore Words List for FTS indexing
To define or modify the Ignore Words List for FTS:
(For on-premises deployments only) Update the arsfts.stp file within the platform-ftslocale-config configmap. For more information, see Using ConfigMaps to access the configuration files.
You can use the arsftsnostem.stp file to avoid the stemming of words before their usage as ignored words in the . For example, if the arsftsnostem.stp file contains the word already then only the word already is used as an ignored word.

Consider the following important points about and the Ignore Words List:
- The Ignore Words List is different for each supported language.
- You must perform indexing if you create an entry in the Thesaurus file before restarting the .
- When you initiate full text search on a computer, the searcher uses the ignore words defined on the corresponding indexer server. The searcher does not use the ignore words defined on the computer on which is initiated.
- When you initiate on a computer, the value of the AR_SERVER_INFO_FT_SUPPORT_EXACT_MATCH_SEARCH configuration on the corresponding indexer server is used to perform the . The value of this configuration on the computer on which is initiated has no role to play in .
- You must re-index the data for the changes to the Ignore Words List to take effect.
- Accrue searches that contain words from the Ignore Words List do not find any matching requests for those words. However, the accrue search retrieves requests for the other search terms. For restrictions on , see Limitations-of-FTS.
- does not support full-text search if you have a read-only database. For more information about using a read-only database, see Using read-only database.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
