Cross-referencing blank passwords

When the Cross Reference Blank Password option is selected, AR System attempts to authenticate through the AREA LDAP Configuration form. To ensure success, set the user password in that form, and do not provide a password on the User form in AR System. Then, if the user provides a password, the user passes authentication. If the user does not provide a password, the login attempt is rejected.

To cross-reference blank passwords

  1. Open the AR System Administration: Server Information form, and click the EA tab.
  2. In the External Authentication Server RPC Program Number field, enter 390695.

  3. Select the Cross Reference Blank Password check box.
  4. Click Apply and OK.
