Log entries in a server group environment

When there is a definition change on an admin server in a server group, all secondary servers receive notification to recache.

Definition change triggers recache request

A request from a remote server to recache definitions, is shown in the following server group log example:

<SGRP> <0 > /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:34:01.6740 */ Server SVL-XXX-26 noting request from remote server to recache definitions
<SGRP> <0 > /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:35:01.6750 */ Server SVL-XXX-26 executing recache request

Following is an example of the thread log recache event:

<THRD> <0 > /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:35:01.6750 */ Defn change received for recache: tid=4428 user=NULL defnRecacheIsPending=0 delayRecacheTime=5 , Add request to Timer Queue
<THRD> /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:35:06.6750 */ DefnChangeRecache: tid=4936 delayRecacheTime=5 lastDefnChangeTime=1290195301, Add request to Admin thread
<THRD> <1 > /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:35:06.6750 */ PerformInternalRequest: AR_INTERNAL_REQ_CACHE_CHANGED Started, tid=6000
<THRD> <1 > /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:35:09.6440 */ InitServerCache Begin: alloc=0 bytes
<THRD> <1 > /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:35:21.8940 */ InitServerCache End: cacheId=2 rpcCallProc=10004 tid=6000, alloc=0 bytes, diff=0 bytes
<THRD> <1 > /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:35:21.9100 */ PerformInternalRequest: AR_INTERNAL_REQ_CACHE_CHANGED Completed, tid=6000
<THRD> <0 > /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:35:53.6450 */ licenseMonitor: process memory allocated bytes=135057375 bytes
<THRD> <0 > /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:35:53.6450 */ Admin Cache Promoted: cacheId=2 rpcCallProc=0 user="NULL" tid=4864 rpcId=0 cacheIdToFree=1

The recache event is followed by a FreeServerCache event, as shown in the following log example:

<THRD> <0 > /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:35:53.6760 */ FreeServerCache Begin: cacheId=1 rpcCallProc=0 user="NULL" tid=4864 rpcId=0, alloc=0 bytes
<THRD> <0 /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:35:54.4260 */ FreeServerCache End: cacheId=1 rpcCallProc=0 user="NULL" tid=4864 rpcId=0, alloc=0 bytes, diff=-0 bytes

Group/user change triggers copy cache request

A group/user change triggers a copy cache on the secondary servers, as shown in the following server group log example:

<SGRP> <0 > /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:40:01.7460 */ Server SVL-XXX-26 noting request from remote server to update group information
<SGRP> <0 > /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:41:01.7480 */ Server SVL-XXX-26 executing update group information request

This copy cache event is marked in the thread log with Group/User Change Received:, as shown in the following log example:

<THRD> <0 > /* Fri Nov 19 2010 11:41:01.7480 */ Group/User Change Received: tid=4428 user=NULL userOrGroup=GROUP groupRecacheIsPending=0 delayRecacheTime=5 , Add request to Timer Queue

The log entry is followed by logging described in Admin copy cache event triggered by Group/User change.
