Creating objects
In addition to the File > New menu, the AR System Navigator provides a direct way to create an object on a specific server or in a specific application.
To create an object on a server
- In the server branch, open the All Objects branch.
- Right-click the appropriate object type, and select the appropriate New menu command.
The object editor opens. Modify the object.

To create an object in an application
- In the Applications branch, right-click the name of the application and select New Object > New objectType.
- Complete any initial dialog boxes.
The object editor opens.

For information about creating applications, see Creating-a-deployable-application. - Select File > Save.
The Save objectType As dialog box appears. Type the name of the object.
Object names must be unique for each AR System server. Names can be as many as 80 characters, including spaces.There are no other restrictions on names, but it is helpful to establish naming conventions for your work and to make names descriptive.
- Click OK.
To create a workflow object from the forms object list
- Right-click a form in the forms object list.
- Select New Workflow > workflowObject.
The workflow objects you can select are:- Active Link
- Filter
- Escalation
- Active Link Guide
- Filter Guide
- Enter the information in the workflow object's editor.
