Screen refresh issues and the Web

JAWS keeps a cache of the screen contents. When information is changed dynamically on the screen, the information might not be reflected in the cache, and you might have to refresh the screen manually to update the JAWS cache. No workaround is available.

To refresh the screen when the content changes, press Insert+Esc.

Pages are refreshed automatically whenever any of these actions occur:

  • An action that triggers a page refresh (for example, a page might be set to refresh at a certain interval)
  • A page redirection action
  • New page creation

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
