Registering Remedy Email Engine with Microsoft Azure for OAuth 2.0 authentication

You must register Remedy Email Engine with Microsoft Azure to configure OAuth 2.0 authentication for the Exchange Web Services (EWS) protocol for your mailbox.

Prerequisites

Before you  register your Email Engine for OAuth 2.0 authentication, obtain a Microsoft Exchange Online Subscription.
See, Exchange Online - Hosted Email for Business.

To register the application for OAuth2 Authentication

See the "Register your application" and "Configure for app-only authentication" sections in the Authenticate an EWS application by using OAuth page.

Important

The Remedy Email Engine only requires the application permission full_access_as_app when it is registered in Azure. No specific user permissions are required. For more information, see the Knowledge Article 000403224 (requires Support ID).

To restrict mailbox access

See New-ApplicationAccessPolicy.

Important

Your Client secret is not available for you to copy. You must keep it with you after you create it. If you haven't copied your Client secret after creating it the very first time, delete the existing one and then create a new one. Make sure to copy and keep it safe somewhere.
