Defining and deploying data and object packages

You can perform the following tasks using Remedy Deployment Application:

• Accessing-the-AR-System-Deployment-Management-console
• Defining-a-package
• Defining-a-precheck-for-deploying-a-package
• Importing-and-exporting-a-package
• Validating-a-package
• Archiving-a-package
• Building-and-deploying-packages-by-using-the-CLI

To use the Remedy Deployment Application, You must have appropriate permissions. (See Remedy-Deployment-Application-roles-and-permissions.)

The following diagram depicts the functionality of the Remedy Deployment Application utility:

The Remedy Deployment Application plug-in provides the ability to:

• Import and export definitions and data
• Call the Analyzer module to validate that a package meets the required standard
• Add a checksum to the package if the package meets the package requirements
• Verify the checksum for a package
• Encapsulate the contents of a package into a single zip file
• Encapsulate the contents of a package from a single zip file

You must manually move these types of objects between environments:

• Groups
• Roles
• Distributed Pool
