Configure source entity type

Manage Entity Types console shows the entities which resource requests can be related. By default, the entries for Agility Suite would be configured (such as Portfolio, Project, Sprint, etc).

This console is accessible by the Resource Master and the Agility Admin users.

To access to this console, log in Agility Suite application, click Settings and go to Resource Management > Source > Entity Type.

To create a new Entity Type

1. Log in Agility Suite application and click Settings .
2. Go to Resource Management > Source > Entity Type.

3. Click on the 'New' button to add a new Entity Type.

   Field	Description	Example
   Source Application	Select one of the Source Applications from the dropdown. The dropdown shows all the Active Applications.	BMC Helix ITSM
   Entity Type	Enter the name of the Entity that you want to create, If the Source Application is Agility Suite then, you can choose the Entity from a dropdown.	Incident
   Path	This is the Path (extension) to the entity type. This path is concatenated with the URL of the application and shown in the preview of the URL.	smartit/app/#/incident/displayid/
   Status	The Status field has two options namely, Active and Inactive. The default status after the creation of an Entity Type is "Active". To remove the usage of an already configured entity type, change the status to "Inactive". This will disallow the creation of new resource requests for that entity.
   Record Definition Name	It defines the record definition name in which the details of the entities will be stored. For the agility suite, the record definition is set according to the entity type automatically. For all other application sources, the record definition name cannot be modified and is set to 'com.fusiongbs.agilty:External Resource Entity'

To modify an Existing Entity Type

1. Log in Agility Suite application and click Settings .
2. Go to Resource Management > Source > Entity Type.
3. Click on the display id of the entity type or select the row and click on the Edit () button. 
4. Apply the changes and click Save.

To delete an Existing Entity Type

1. Log in Agility Suite application and click Settings .
2. Go to Resource Management > Source > Entity Type.
3. Select the entity type to delete and click on the Delete () button.

Note that only those resource entity type records can be deleted that are not already used in resource requests.
