Importing service targets and agreements
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
You can import service targets (SVTs) into the new AR System server using the BMC Service Level Management Import utility or as a deployment package. The BMC Service Level Management Import utility allows you to import service targets and service level agreements (SLA).
Important
BMC Service Level Management does not support SVT or SLA import through Data Management. It only supports transaction data through Data Management.
Consider the following points before you import service targets from a source or development server to a destination or production server:
Create service targets in development server and then import to the production server.
Best practice
We do not recommend creating service targets in the production server directly.

Important
The Import/Export utility is not supported on Helix. Helix customers must use D2P for exporting and importing data.
In the Import Status field, the status of the process is displayed. For example, after the import is completed, it displays Done Processing.
While importing SVTs or SLAs, if you get an error, see Troubleshooting-issues-with-service-targets-and-service-level-agreements.
You can use the Deployment Application to export SVTs from a development server and import the same to a production server. For steps to create and deploy a package see the following topics:
