(Optional) Disabling the IT content pack


You can disable the IT content pack by disabling its components or marking them inactive. You must individually disable all components to completely disable the content pack.



To disable the BMC Helix Digital Workplace Catalog native services

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Digital Workplace Catalog. 
  2. Select Services Services
  3. Click the checkbox next to a service from the content pack. 
    For example, Guest WiFi.
  4. Click Open
  5. Click Unpublish as shown in the following image:

  • To remove the service entitlements

    1. Log in to BMC Helix Digital Workplace Catalog. 
    2. Select Services Entitlements
    3. Click menu image-2024-5-7_12-1-15.pngnext to Apex Global - IT Services
    4. Perform one of the following steps:
      • If you want to delete the entitlements, click Delete
      • If you want to dissociate the services from the entitlement, click Open
        1. Click attribute and then click the cross icon, as shown in the following image:

        2. Click Save.
        3. Click services.
        4. Click the check boxes next to each service and click Remove, as shown in the following image:

        5. Click Save


To disable the IT portal

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Digital Workplace Admin Console. 
  2. Select Configuration Studio
  3. From the list of pages, click the checkbox next to IT portal
  4. Click Options and select Unpublish


To disable company data

  1. As an administrator, log in to BMC Helix ITSM
  2. Navigate to Application Administration Console
  3. Next to Organization, click View
  4. To mark the company offline, on the Organization page, search and find Apex Global and select Offline as shown in the following image:

  5. Click Save
  6. To mark a Region offline, from the Application Administration Console, click View Next to Location
    1. On the Site Company Relationship page, search and find Apex Global
    2. Click Edit Site for an Apex Global location.
      For example, Americas. 
    3. On the Site page, click Offline. 
    4. Repeat these steps to mark all the three sites - Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe, offline. 
    5. Click Save.
  7. To mark a support group offline, from the Application Administration Console, click View next to Support Group
    1. On the Support Group page, search and find the support groups associated with Apex Global.
      For example, Service Desk.
    2. Click Offline as shown in the following image:

    3. Repeat these steps to mark all the support groups - access management, desktop systems support, information security, and service desk, offline.
    4. Click Save.


To disable people data

  1. As an administrator, log in to BMC Helix ITSM
  2. Navigate to Application Administration Console. 
  3. Click View next to People
  4. To mark the personas offline, on the People page, search and find the people data that is deployed with the content pack. 
    For example, Rina Takahashi
  5. In the People Information section, from the Profile Status list, select Offline, as shown in the following image:

  6. Repeat these steps to mark all the people data - Rina Takahashi, Asuka Nakamora, Isabella Portico, Javier Santos, and Victor VP, offline.
  7. Click Save.


To disable the work order templates

  1. As an administrator, log in to BMC Helix ITSM
  2. Navigate to the Work Order Template form in by using the following format in the URL:
    WOI%3ATemplate/Work+Order+Template
  3. Search for Apex Global.
  4. Select the Work order template that you want to mark offline. 
    For example, Application Access Request
  5. From the Status list, select Offline, as shown in the following image:

  6. Repeat these steps to mark all the work order templates - Application Access Request, Computer Refresh, Access Management Request, Order Computer, and Information Security Request, offline. 
  7. Click Save.


To disable the approval process

  1. As an administrator, log in to BMC Helix ITSM
  2. Navigate to the AP:Process Definition form. 
  3. Search and find the SB Ad=Hoc Approval Process
  4. From the Status list, select Inactive, as show in the following image:

  5. Click Save
