Renaming a spoke server

When renaming a spoke server, you must reuse the two character prefix code that you assigned when you originally registered the spoke server. This step ensures that the records created on the spoke server after the server is renamed are consistent with the records created before renaming.

To rename a spoke server

  1. From the hub server, from the Applications selection menu, select Administrator Console > Application Administration console > Custom Configuration >Hub and Spoke > Configuration Settings > Hub-Spoke Registration.
  2. From the list of currently registered spoke systems table, select the spoke system you need to rename.
  3. Click De-Register.
  4. Type the new name of the spoke server in the Spoke Server Name field.
  5. In the Spoke Server Prefix field, type the previously used two-character prefix code.
  6. Click Register.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Log into the spoke server that you are renaming.
  9. Open the Hub-Spoke Registration form as described in steps 1.
  10. Add the spoke server's web path to the Spoke Web Path field.
