Enabling the simplified REST API

Before you can use the BMC Helix Innovation Suite simplified REST API, you must configure the host URL in BMC Helix Innovation Suite.

Before you begin

Make sure that you have an Administrator role in BMC Helix Innovation Suite.

To configure the host URL

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio with Administrator role.
  2. On the Workspace tab, click Libraries.
  3. Click BMC ITSM APIs.
  4. On the Configurations tab, click ITSM REST API Configurations.
  5. Select Host-URL.

  6. In the Field properties pane, specify the BMC Helix ITSM: Smart IT host name and port number in the Default value field.

  7. Click Save.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
