Enabling bulk updates in Asset Console

To enable bulk updates in Asset Console

1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio in Best Practice mode.
2. On the Workspace tab, click Applications.
3. Click ITSM Application.
4. On the Views tab, click the customized copy view of the default view Default Asset Console SM.
   
   
   
   
5. From Shared Components in Palette, add Standalone Field in the container at the bottom of the view.
   Add the following standalone fields with their respective general property values:

   1. HasAssetUpdateAccess

      Property	Value
      Name	HasAssetUpdateAccess
      Display Label	HasAssetUpdateAccess

   2. isClosed

      Property	Value
      Name	isClosed
      Display Label	isClosed
      Hidden	Turn on the toggle key, with the At all times condition.

6. Click the Get IS asset console CCS event button.
   1. Rename the Label field to Get IS asset console CCS and User Permissions.
   2. Click Edit actions and add the following actions from the list of Available actions with their respective values and expressions:
      

      1. Launch process

         Process to start	Select Check Asset Update Access from ITSM Application
         Wait for process completion	Turn on the toggle key

      2. Set property

   3. Click Save.
7. From Common Components in Palette, add Event Button in the container at the bottom of the view.
   

   1. Update the values or add expressions for the fields as given in the following table:

8. Perform one of the following steps:
   • If you have the Asset actions action button in the record grid, select Asset actions and go to step 11.
   • If you do not have the Asset actions action button in the record grid, see the next step.

9. From Basic components in Palette, add an Action button to the Record Grid.
   Update the general properties of the action button with the values given in the following table:

10. Select Dropdown button from the Display mode dropdown under Actions.
11. Click Edit dropdown actions and then click Add dropdown action.
