Incorrect CIs are related to a software license certificate
In the Mid Tier interface, when License Engine runs, it relates incorrect CIs to a software license certificate.
Issue symptoms
- Categorization is too broad. Many CIs match the specified configuration.
- Connection questions are not answered correctly.
- The license type is not correctly configured. When creating a license type, an administrator specifies how the connection question and answers map to CIs in BMC CMDB. An error can result in incorrect CIs being related to the certificate.

For more information about connection questions, see Software-License-Management-overview. Connection questions must be answered correctly to connect the correct CI to the certificate. |
