Scheduling regular maintenance on a network printer

This use case describes how to schedule regular maintenance on a network printer in the Mid Tier  interface.

Scenario

Calbro Services has a high-speed, high-volume network printer on each floor of its offices. These printers require maintenance every six months. The configuration administrator, Allen Allbrook, sets up a maintenance schedule for each of these printers. Allen selects a network printer maintenance change template, so that the appropriate change request is started when maintenance is scheduled. This is a pre-approved change, so no approval is required, and a technician performs the scheduled work.

Benefit

The maintenance process is managed smoothly with minimal manual intervention.

The following table describes the typical actions that are taken to schedule regular maintenance on a network printer.
