Automatically setting unavailability status based on CI status
In the Mid Tier interface, you configure whether a CI is available or unavailable, depending on its status. For example, if a CI is being assembled, you might want to configure it to be down while it is in production. You must have a Fixed Action Request System license to update the CI unavailability status.
To configure the unavailability status for a CI
- In Mid Tier, in Application Administration Console, click the Custom Configuration tab.
- From the Application Settings list, select Asset Management > Advanced Options > CI Unavailability Status, and then click Open.
The Configure CI Outage form appears. - From the CI Status list, select the CI status for which you want to configure unavailability.
- From the Outage Definition list, select Down or Up.
Click Add.
