Important
- You cannot view a CI audit unless auditing has been enabled on the BMC.CORE:BMC_BaseElement and other specific attributes. For more information, see Auditing changes to CIs.
- If auditing is enabled in the AST:Attributes form, you can view the status and status reason for field value changes.
To enable audits, see Configuring auditing.
- In Mid Tier, open a CI, as described in Searching for tickets, assets, resources, and people in BMC Helix ITSM.
- In the navigation pane, select Functions > Lifecycle Audits.
The Lifecycle Audits dialog box is displayed. You can view form audits or notification audits.
- In Mid Tier, in the Lifecycle Audits dialog box, click the Form Audits tab.
- Select an audit type from the list.
- Select an audit row.
The New Field Value area displays field changes for the CI.
- In Mid Tier, in the Lifecycle Audits dialog box, click the Notification Audit tab.
The audit trail displays all the notifications that were generated for the CI. - Select a notification audit entry, and click View.
The BMC Atrium CMDB audit shows information about a selected CI, as stored in BMC Helix CMDB. The audit includes the date that the CI was created, the user ID of the creator, the date it was last modified, and so on.
- In Mid Tier, open a CI, as described in Searching for tickets, assets, resources, and people in BMC Helix ITSM.
- In the navigation pane, select Functions > CMDB Audits.
The data you view in the CI Audit table depends on how the CMDB:DefaultAuditLog form is configured.
