Configuring reconciliation custom identification rules
Before you begin
- Plan how many rules are needed, and in what order.
- Know what data set to use as reference in each rule.
- When creating a custom reconciliation job, clear the Use Standard Rules for Dataset option for the job. This enables you to select the custom identification rule in the Identify activity for the custom job.
To create custom identification rules
- From CMDB Portal, select Configurations > Manage Reconciliation Rules > Identification Rules.
The Custom tab lists the custom identification rules for the selected class. - Click Add New Ruleset.
- Enter a name for the ruleset and click Create Ruleset.
- Click + Add Rule.
- In Execution Order, assign a value between 0 to 1000.
The lower the value, the higher the priority of this rule, for the selected class. - Use the toggle key to turn on Allow manual edit and build a custom rule by using Keywords, Palette, Attributes, and the operators.
After you build the custom rule, turn off Allow manual edit by using the toggle key. - To save the custom rule, click OK.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
