Promoting CMDB CDM Definitions across environments

You can reliably promote CMDB CDM definitions across development, QA, and production environments by using BMC Remedy Deployment Application.

Considerations

  • BMC facilitates promotion of the following CMDB CDM definitions:
    • Class
    • Attributes
  • Currently, BMC does not support rollback of CMDB CDM Definitions.
  • To use BMC Remedy Deployment Application for promoting CMDB CDM Definitions, you must have:
    • BMC Remedy AR System and BMC CMDB installed. 
    • Administrator permission to create and deploy package using CMDB Content Type.
