Enabling Workplace Service Management
To implement the Workplace Service Management, an administrator must first enable the Workplace portal from BMC Helix Digital Workplace Advanced and review the default services.

To enable the Workplace portal from BMC Helix Digital Workplace Advanced
- Log in to BMC Helix Digital Workplace Advanced as an administrator.
- In the URL, type admin after /dwp/.
- Click
, and select Configuration.
- In the left-hand navigation, click Application Features.
- To enable the Workplace portal page to be displayed in the top menu, select the checkbox for Studio (expose pages to end users).
- To enable enhanced studio page capabilities, select the Use enhanced catalog section and tile framework checkbox.
- In the left-hand navigation, click Studio.
- On the Customize your workplaces page, click Actions for the Workplace portal page and select Duplicate to copy the studio page.
- Click Actions for the newly copied studio page and select Edit.
- Make the following required changes, and save the page:
- Name of the Workplace page in the top menu
- Location of the name in the top menu
- Background images
- To publish the page, click Save and Publish.
- To modify the sequence of the top menu items, click Navigation Manager.
- In the Navigation Builder, change the sequence of the top menu items, and click Save.
Where to go from here
After you've enabled the Workplace portal and reviewed the service requests for your line of business, a service catalog administrator must activate the catalog items displayed in the Workplace portal. Learn more in Activating-catalog-items.
