Schedules for recurring cases

  

Routine maintenance of assets is necessary to keep them in good working condition and it is done at regular intervals. As a case business analyst, define schedules for creating cases to track the recurring preventative maintenance activities of assets in a line of business. Schedules ensure that cases are automatically created according to the recurrence details defined in the schedule.

Example

Bob Baxter is a case business analyst in the Apex Global company. At the Pune site of Apex Global, the air conditioners need to be serviced every quarter. Bob Baxter creates a schedule, which recurs every 3 months on the 1st of that month, and relates the air conditioners to the schedule. A schedule instance is created for each quarter, and a case is automatically created for each instance and assigned to a case agent according to the assignment rules configured in the system.

Asset integration for a line of business

When you define a schedule, you need to attach a case template, specify recurrence details, and relate assets with the schedule. A case is created for each schedule instance by using the case template and the assets are associated to the case. When multiple assets are associated with a schedule, you can define the schedule to create one case for each asset or one case for all assets.
