Enabling asset integration and configuring asset types for a line of business
Before you begin

Process of enabling asset integration and configuring asset types for a line of business

To enable asset integration for a line of business
- Log in to BMC Helix Business Workflows as a case business analyst, and click Settings

- Select Line of Business > Manage Line of Business.
- On the Application Configurations tab, select ASSET_INTEGRATION.
On the Edit Configuration pane, enable asset integration for your line of business by selecting
.
- Click Save.
After you enable ASSET_INTEGRATION configuration parameter for a line of business, the Asset Type Configurations tab appears on the Line of Business Management page. By default, there are no asset types configured on the Asset Type Configurations tab and the case agents and case managers can access all asset types. To restrict case agents and case managers to access only certain asset types, configure asset types for a line of business.
To configure asset types for a line of business
- On the Asset Type Configurations tab, click + Asset type configuration.
- In the Create asset type configuration pane, select the CI type and Product category tier 1 from the list.
- Click Save.
The asset type configured for the line of business is displayed on the Asset Type Configurations tab. - (Optional) To edit an asset type, click the display ID of the asset type and edit the required details in the Edit asset type configuration pane.
- (Optional) To delete an asset type, select the asset type that you want to delete and click Delete.
