Approving and rejecting tasks

When a task needs approval, it is sent to a specified approval group. To approve or reject a task, a user from the specified approval group must open that task from the case or from the Task console. Users can approve or reject tasks only if they have read and write permissions for tasks and write permission for the parent case.

To approve or reject a task

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Business Workflows.
  2. Select Workspace > Task.
  3. From the Line of Business list, select the line of business for which you want to approve or reject a task.
If you have access to a single line of business, the line of business is selected by default.
  4. Open a task that needs approval.
  5. Click Approve or Reject.
The following image shows the Approve and Reject options:

When approved, a task moves to the next status. When rejected, the task moves to the previous status or Rejected status. Learn more about the statuses in Task-approvals.
