Troubleshooting BMC HR Case Management access issues


The following table describes problems that BMC HR Case Management users might experience when accessing the application:

An existing user who has access to BMC Remedy IT Service Management has lost access to BMC HR Case Management

Problem description

The CTM:People form of a selected user has been recently updated. The automatic user synchronization job updated the People form, and the user role is updated to Standard Viewer.

Steps to perform

  1. Log in to BMC HR Case Management as a Standard Administrator or Standard Master user.
  2. Open the People console.
  3. Search for a user record who has access problems, and click to open its form.
  4. Navigate to the Case Login tab.
  5. Review the User Role field, and change the role to a desired.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
