Installing silently


In a silent installation, you run the installation program from a command line. When you execute a silent installation, you specify an options file (options.txt) that provides the installation parameters to the program. 

A silent installation enables you to install or upgrade in a headless environment on Linux or Windows. This section describes how to work with silent installations and contains the following topics:
