Configuring URL links and HTML


This topic provides information how to configure URLs used in surveys sent to case requesters, and HTML used in categories available in the Messages and Search consoles.

When a case changes its status defined in a survey configuration form, an email with a request to complete a survey is sent to a case requester. A text inside a survey by default includes a link to the survey form. You need to configure the format of this URL, otherwise it will not work.

You might want to modify the format of data displayed in categories of the Messages, and the Search consoles. To modify the format, you need to configure HTML by using the System Settings console.

  1. In the System Settings console, navigate to Advanced Settings > URL Link Settings.
  2. Click New.
  3. In the Link Server field, enter the server name in the following format: http://<Mid Tier server address>:port/arsys.
  4. Click Save & Close.

 

To configure HTML

  1. In the System Settings console, select Advanced Settings > HTML Config.
  2. Click New.
  3. From the Category list, select one of the following editable HTML attributes:
    • Advanced Search
    • Message Center. 
  4. In the Label field, enter a label.
  5. In the Qualification field, enter the restrictions for the HTML. 
  6. In the HTML field, enter the HTML code. 
  7. Click Save & Close.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
