Upgrading

Live Chat version 20.02 is available as as a deployment package, instead of an installer. The section provides information about upgrading to Live Chat version 20.02 on premises. 

As an administrator, you can upgrade from BMC Virtual Chat version 9.1.02 or  Live Chat version 19.08 to Live Chat version 20.02.

Important

  • After deploying the Live Chat 20.02 deployment package, certain features from BMC Virtual Chat version 9.1.02 are disabled and cannot be enabled. See the list of deprecated and unavailable features.
  • If required, a rollback option is available for the Live Chat 20.02 deployment.

If you have BMC Virtual Chat  version 9.1.01 or earlier, upgrade to

BMC Virtual Chat version 9.1.02.

When you are on one of the following versions, complete the steps to plan the upgrade to Live Chat version 20.02:

  • Live Chat version 19.08
  • BMC Virtual Chat version 9.1.02
