Scenarios
The following scenarios illustrate how Catalog Curator can be used:
Creating a service
Hannah, a catalog administrator at Apex Global, needs to create a service for software installation. Instead of configuring the service manually, she opens the Catalog Curator chat by clicking the Catalog Assistant tab and enters a prompt describing her requirements:
Create a Software Installation service with approvals from the user’s manager and IT security. Include support for English and French.
Catalog Curator generates a summary with the service profile, workflow, and questionnaire. Hannah reviews the output and enters another prompt to refine the form:
Add a question asking for the purpose of use.
After reviewing the updated summary, she confirms the service's creation by entering an assertive reply:
Looks good.
A new Software Installation service has been created in the Draft state.
Editing a service
Later, Hannah uses Catalog Curator to refine the service. She selects the Draft service and clicks the Edit with AI button to open the conversational editor. She selects Edit profile, and updates the service excerpt by entering prompts such as:
Update the service excerpt to mention installation timelines.
The agent applies the requested change and presents the revised summary. Hannah confirms it by entering the prompt:
Save changes.
Catalog Curator saves the modifications and updates the service.
Creating a survey
Hannah wants to create a feedback survey using Catalog Curator. She clicks the Survey Assistant button. In the chat interface, she enters a prompt describing the feedback she wants to collect:
Create a survey to evaluate the software installation experience and measure overall satisfaction.
Include questions asking if the process was hassle‑free and if any challenges were encountered. Provide the survey in English and German.
Catalog Curator generates the survey with the required questions, rating scale, languages, and delivery settings. Hannah reviews the summary, makes small real-time edits through the chat, and enters an assertive reply to finalize the survey.
This interactive assistance significantly reduces Hannah's effort and increases her efficiency.
