Adding agents for BMC HelixGPT


Agents in BMC HelixGPTare intelligent tools designed to automate tasks, resolve queries, and streamline workflows.

Adding agents enables BMC HelixGPT administrators to tailor their functionality to meet specific business needs. You can add out-of-the-box agents, customize them, or create new ones to integrate seamlessly with your environment, enhancing efficiency and user experience.


Before you begin

You must configure the required data source for the out-of-the-box agent you plan to add. For more information about adding a data source, see Adding-data-sources-in-BMC-HelixGPT.


Data sources for agents

The following table describes the data source required for the connection name you must add for out-of-the-box agents.

To add an out-of-the-box agent

  1. In BMC HelixGPT Manager, click Settings Settings icon.
  2. Select HelixGPT > Agents> Pass-through Agents.
    The following screen to add an out-of-the-box agent is displayed:

  3. Click Add Agent.
    A drop-down list with options to select from the out-of-the-box agent is displayed:

  4. Select one of the following options and click Add.
    1. Best Action Recommendation
    2. Change Risk Advisor
    3. Log Insights

An out-of-the-box agent is added to your environment


To edit connections for an out-of-the-box agent

  1. In HelixGPT Manager, select the out-of-the-box agent you have added.
  2. Click Edit.
    The following screenshot shows an option to edit a connection for an out-of-the-box agent:

    Edit Pass-through Agent dialog is displayed:

  3. Select the Connection name and click Save.

You have edited the connection setting for an out-of-the box agent.

Use the Delete option to delete an out-of-the box agent. 


 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
