Configuring chatbot permissions
To configure permissions for BMC Helix Virtual Agent
- Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Workspace tab.
- Select BMC Helix Chatbot.
- On the Chatbots tab, select BMC Chatbot.
- On the General tab, click Edit in the Permissions pane.
- Click Add Permission, and customize the permission settings:
- Select Role and specify the user roles who can access the chatbot
- Select Group and select the user groups who can access the chatbot.
- Click Save.
After saving, chatbot permissions are enabled in BMC Helix Virtual Agent.

After you log in to BMC Helix Virtual Agent, only the list of chatbots in which you have permission to access are displayed.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
