Using the BMC Helix Innovation Studio Services

If you are planning to implement anyone of the BMC Helix Innovation Studio Services that come with the Starter Kit, like the Weather Service, Holiday List and Time off Service, you must do the following:

  1. For a given Record definition, create your own similar Record definition in your custom application.
  2. For a given Process, when possible, copy it using the copy to another application / library function.Note: There are only two processes, the Get Leave Balance and Request Time Off, that can be copied using the above method. The other two, Get Country HR Source Data and Get Weather, cannot be copied, as they have dependencies on other BMC Helix Innovation Studio content. You can recreate these processes in your custom application.
  3. For the Weather Service, you can recreate the Document and Web APIs within your custom application. You can also configure the service by using the information provided in this guide.
