Assigning knowledge article ownership to user groups
As a knowledge worker with edit content permission, you can assign ownership of knowledge articles to various user groups within your organization. For more information about user roles and permissions, see Product overview.
With this capability, you can ensure content visibility by assigning or updating the ownership of knowledge articles when necessary, preventing articles from becoming outdated or neglected. You can also drive accountability and collaboration by quickly identifying the relevant point of contact for clarifications and updates in the knowledge articles.

The scope of ownership assignment capabilities is based on the role of the knowledge worker. The table below outlines which roles can assign ownership and to whom:
| Knowledge worker role | Can assign ownership to |

| The user groups that these knowledge workers belong to |
| Knowledge reader | Can't assign or view knowledge article ownership |
