Setting up approvals


When end users request a service that requires an approval in BMC Helix Digital Workplace, the approval request is routed to all approvers specified in the approval process rules. Action Request System (AR System) administrators define these rules on the AR System server in the Approval Central. For more information about approvals, seeSetting up the approval process.


The following table describes how you can enable and configure approval requests in the BMC Helix Digital Workplace Admin console:

Display the On Hold button for approvers

  • Display the Comment field for approvers on rejecting approval requests
  • Display the Password field for approvers

Display the Reassign button for approvers

Enable approvers to set up automatic approval delegation rules

  • Configure the display of approval details in the approval requests
  • Display the cross-launch link in the approval requests, so that approvers can open approvals in the requesting application.
